June 2023 Honoree
Nichole Hatch, RN
We had a delivery in our ED, which happens maybe once every couple of years. Our ED staff was stressed and many had never seen a delivery before. The limited resources for a late night delivery only made the situation more stressful. Recognizing this, Nichole volunteered to come help, and she was in the room for the whole time the mother was in labor (about 4 hours). She pushed meds and helped do assessments. She was a foundational part of the success of this delivery even though she doesn't even work in the ED. Most importantly, she was a calming voice to everyone else, including the patient. Her clinical expertise, compassion, and collaboration in this matter helped make this a smooth and memorable experience
Thank you, Nichole, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
