Nichole Newport is caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, and a true team player who always goes above and beyond for her patients and colleagues.
One patient describes her as their favorite. The patient says she worked in healthcare for over 30 years and would have enjoyed working with Nichole. She states she is prompt to answer her needs and will take a seat to ensure she feels heard. She states sometimes she will have to step out to handle another patient's needs but always promises to come right back, and she does.
Another patient states he never felt more respected. He shares that he has made some bad decisions in life but says Nichole treats him like a royal. He shares that his pain has been unbearable. He states his nurses have all been great, and many have done a wonderful job of controlling his pain. He says he would have never expected more, and then he had Nichole. He says it is hard to even describe, "She is the best human being. You can tell she really cares, did everything, and then more."
She demonstrates her caring attitude by attentively listening to her patients' needs and concerns, comforting and reassuring them, and involving them in their care plans. She also shows empathy and respect for their families and caregivers, offering them support and guidance.

She recently informed our administrative team of some changes that needed to be addressed within the scope of LPNs. Changes that will now be shared systemwide to ensure our practice is appropriate.
