One of our patients presented for his appointment during a cold snap. He is one of our patients who doesn't have much money, and that day he didn't have many warm clothes on with just a pair of sandals and no socks. While rooming him, he commented to Nichole Lerose that he was cold - especially his feet.
After she was done rooming him, Nichole said she'd be right back. She was back in a few minutes after going to the gift shop and picking out and purchasing a nice pair of socks for him. They happened to have cheeseburgers and fries on them and I could hear her joking with him about it. I overheard him laughing and saying, "Now I'll never have to go hungry!" She develops special relationships with her patients and often does things like this that are above and beyond her job description. She makes her patients feel special and cared for. We are lucky to have Nichole on our team!
