It is the week leading up to Christmas and while most of us are out looking for gifts for family and friends, Nichole took the time out to make a special blanket for one of our oncology patients. Nichole has cared for this patient for the better part of her treatment. From the moment Nichole greeted this patient, it seems as if she has felt more at ease with everything going on. It is remarkable that amongst all the chaos of the holiday Nichole took time out to lift the spirits of a patient. It wasn't much but made the patient smile. Nichole has mastered the art of creating a spot of sunshine during a dim moment. Through this small act of kindness, Nichole has demonstrated her commitment to compassionate patient care.
