Nichole O'Brien, RN

Nichole was my very first nurse throughout my 5-day hospital stay. She made me feel so heard and welcomed. Constantly checking in on me without making me feel like a burden. From that day forward, I requested her as my nurse. I understood that with me being induced, I wouldn't be able to have her everyday/night. I had some good nurses, but none like Nichole.

She helped explain things that I didn't know or understand as a first-time mom and made me feel completely comfortable. When it finally came time to have my baby she was right there talking me through the whole way counting through my contractions asking if i was okay. Reminding me to breathe. Telling me I was doing a great job and the progress I was making.

After my delivery, when I was finally able to walk, she held my hand and helped me every step of the way. She showed and explained everything to do for postpartum care.

I knew what my baby's name would be, but I couldn't think of a middle name. After everything she had done, I knew I wanted it to be after her. His middle name is Cole, after her. When I told her and explained it to her, she told me that was what her mom used to call her.

Nurses like her make a difference for the better. I will be coming back to Anderson Mercy because of her. I couldn't have done it without her!!
