Nicole is a thoughtful, caring, compassionate nurse. She demonstrated these things taking care of my mother, my sister and myself. She went out of her way to make sure my mom was always comfortable. She would hold her hand and talk to her so she wouldn't feel alone. She always checked on us to make sure we were okay and if there was anything she could do for use or get for us. My mom was dying. She stayed with my mom so I could run home to get something to eat and get a few things because I was going to spend the night. I guess my mom was waiting for me to leave because she passed shortly after I left. Nichole was supposed to go home at 7:00pm. I learned of my Mother's passing when I was on my way to the hospital. Nichole was waiting for me at the elevator and stayed with me well after 7:00pm to make sure I was okay. She was holding my mom's hand when she passed. Words cannot describe how much my sister and I appreciated that. We will never forget her. We are so lucky to have such a compassionate, caring, and professional nurse. She greatly deserves the DAISY Award.
