Nichole was recognized by a patient's wife, who said, "It's a beautiful thing to see a nurse in action who loves her job." Nichole was this nurse. The wife described Nichole as friendly, professional, and detailed. She recounted the bath Nichole gave her husband at 4 am with great detail, stating that Nichole thoroughly bathed him, combed his hair, brushed his teeth, and shaved his face, all while smiling and joking - even at 4 in the morning. Nichole changed his sheets, adjusted his position, and finished her job with great professionalism. The wife said once Nichole was done, even she felt comfortable as if the work had been done for her. She said that if her husband had a negative moment, Nichole took it in stride and kept on going, smiling and joking all the while. "That's what's called going the extra mile, without the expectation of receiving anything more for her job," the wife said. "Well done, Nichole. I will always remember you. You're a keeper."

Nichole Sanchez is an excellent critical care nurse. Her compassion shows in everything she does. Her co-workers describe her as an excellent teacher, team player, and friend. She is always willing to help anyone in need. Many will tell you, there is no one like Nichole. She consistently goes above and beyond to respond to her patients' needs. We all agree Nichole is an asset to the critical care team.
