February 2021 Honoree
nick baisch, RN
I have been hospitalized over a dozen times this past year. I am a very proud man, but a hard one to deal with. When I came back this time, my knee was infected. It caused me so much pain that I was screaming; I am even ashamed to say that I had a nurse in tears because of my words towards her.
I was laying in pain, another RN named Nick came in. Despite my conduct and words thrown at him, he helped me. I was truly scared to lose my leg. It makes me cry just thinking about him and his kind words that reassured me I was going to be okay. He went above and beyond any experience, I ever had with any other nurse. I will never forget him.

Thank you, Nick, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
