Nick was my mother’s nurse during her recovery in the cath lab. My mom isn’t exactly the best patient, being a retired trauma nurse herself. Nick was very patient and incredibly kind with her. He showed us the paperwork/notes from the procedure, explained everything, or “dumbed it down” for me so I could understand what she went through and what to expect. He was very attentive to her needs, and we noticed he took off to help when a ‘Code Blue’ was called out in his dept. He helped take my mom to her room on the cardiac floor and treated her with the utmost care while moving her around and making sure she was situated and comfortable for the night. Thank you, Nick! You are what a nurse is supposed to be. You are what the patients need as a nurse.
