I think Nick is a DAISY Nurse because he stepped up during this recent crisis and took over the screening tent for COVID-19 screening. Every patient, family, employee, or volunteer who came into the hospital saw Nick first. He always had a positive, happy, helpful attitude even though he was the first one in harm's way. He made sure the hospital was safe from potential exposure. During "normal time" (pre-COVID) he is an exceptional surgery nurse. He gives patients a calm feeling prior to anesthesia. My father was a patient here and Nick was with him. He was very calm and my father felt at ease and safe at a very stressful time. He is an excellent nurse.
