My brother recently had a seizure for the first time. It was a scary and stressful situation, but Nick really helped calm everyone down and eased our fears. Unfortunately, my brother had a second seizure that landed him back in the ED less than a week later. Even though he wasn’t the assigned RN, Nick still took the time to check on us and answer our questions. He really connected with my brother and talked to him like a friend. He even joked that they didn’t “have to keep meeting this way!” Nick went out of his way to make everyone more comfortable. You can tell that he really cares. Nick is exactly the kind of RN that you hope to have in the ED- calm, caring, knowledgeable, and funny at the right times. He is a credit to his profession and IU Health is lucky to have him.
