This was my second brain surgery. I was very nervous and scared going through another surgery. When I made it to Nicki's floor, I was put in her care. I had already had a panic attack the night before and was exhausted and scared. She calmed my nerves immediately. She made sure to always give my medicine promptly and always asked if she could do anything else for me. She got me ice packs, cold water and ice chips; it may not seem like a big deal to others, but for me it made a huge difference. She was able to sympathize with me, as she also has had brain surgery. Nicki was the best! She answered all my questions and my mom's questions. She also made sure to let the Doctor know my concerns and she took such amazing care of me. I will be having another surgery and I pray to have her be my Nurse again. Nicki is a Rockstar and deserves a medal for being so amazing. Thank you, Nicki, for making my stay so nice. You took such good care of me and you have made a huge impact on my life. I am so grateful that you were my Nurse. You were able to make me smile and laugh even though I was in pain and sad. You are a treasure and I thank you so very much.
