On Thursday, Ally Porter, Erica Johns, and Nicki Shaw had the day off from the hospital. Instead of running errands or spending time with their own families, these 3 generous ladies came in, in anticipation of a long-term patient's imminent discharge. They arranged a lunch for him with his favorite food, sushi served on his tray table decorated with a dazzling gold tablecloth!
After lunch in his room, they waited patiently in the hallway for him to make his walking debut wearing his new R LE prosthesis. The entire unit was there to cheer him on as well. After ambulating, they wheeled him out to the courtyard to enjoy some much welcome sunshine. I am honored to work on their unit every day. These 3 fine ladies are the epitome of Excellence!
