What a terrific nurse you are! Our daughter surprised us by showing up unannounced with her 5-month-old puppy. We had not seen her since Christmas. After talking with 2 of J's physicians, they agreed to let him go downstairs and outside to see his new grand puppy. Nicki was his nurse and put forth an extra effort to make it as easy as possible for me to transport him outside.
My daughter and I are both RNs and understand what this extra excursion meant to Nicki's schedule. But she timed his IV meds, bath, and other activities so he could spend 10 very precious minutes outside with his daughter and grand puppy who had arrived from out of state.
