Nicola Bean, Registered Midwife

Nicola, known as Nicky, was nominated by a woman who went into labour early while under Nicky's care. The situation was very complex; sadly, the baby did not survive. Despite this, the woman who gave birth nominated Nicky for a DAISY Award due to the exceptional care she received in very difficult circumstances. The nominator said that Nicky was so empathetic and comforting. Nicky listened to her and took the time to support her. She says she will never forget Nicky, as she was an angel in one of the worst and most broken times of her life.
