One of the patients stated, “She was very on top of my medications. She made me feel very comfortable. 10/10 a very nice loving nurse.”

The same patient’s mother added additional comments, stating, “I am so very thankful for this nurse. She is so kind, caring, compassionate, and an excellent example of what a nurse should be. She really took care of my daughter like I would when I was not around. I am very proud of her!”

In the second nomination, the patient stated how caring and compassionate Nicola is, and that she resolved issues with his medications, even staying over after her shift to ensure the medication issues had been resolved. This patient stated, “In all those (hospital) stays, I have never had a nurse as caring as Nicola. She got to know me as a patient and a person. She is kind, compassionate, and very professional. She takes her responsibility to the patient seriously, and never failed to comfort me or answer my questions. Several times during the next several days, Nicola had to resolve issues with my medications. She worked tirelessly even staying late one morning to resolve an issue with my pain medications. Nicola is an excellent representative for your hospital and a shining example of what a nurse should and could be.”
