I would like to acknowledge my coworker Nicola Rollins. She has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and is always willing to go the extra mile for the patients and her coworkers. Her positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with others have greatly enhanced our team dynamics.

Nicola has been extremely supportive in many patient-nurse coworker situations. Most recently, she found a patient in a critical condition and took the necessary step to contact the doctor immediately when she went back to check on the patient, the patient became unresponsive. Without hesitation, she activated the Code Blue alarm and sprang into action, initiating CPR, while summoning another nurse to get the crash cart. 

Everything was happening so quickly, but Nicola held her composure and diligently worked with the team to save the patient’s life. The patient was subsequently intubated and transferred to the units. I commend Nicola for her swift action, effort, and thoughts that she put into this particular situation. That is the action of a team player! On behalf of Tower 11 staff we would like Nicola to know that we value and appreciate her dedication and commitment.
