Nicole A Hartrick, BSN, RN

Nicole does what she does not for any type of recognition, but because she cares a great deal for her patients, their families, and her coworkers. She spends a lot of time educating her patients as well as the family/support persons so that they can safely go home and care for themselves after discharge. Nicole is detail-oriented and thorough in her assessments and delivery of care. In the past, Nicole has taken the time to develop rehab-specific smart phrases to be used when completing the nursing section of the care huddle notes required for Inpatient Rehab. She now shares these phrases with her coworkers, whom she is often in charge of, as well as orientees on the unit. She is also the main preceptor for the unit and ensures that her orientees get a comprehensive orientation, all while being the Charge RN on shift. She often finds learning opportunities for not only her orientee but for other RNs on staff and finds ways to help relieve the workload on others.
