Nicole A. Krenzel, RN

Nicole was the nurse caring for a patient on 3K who transferred to 1D for hospice. She gave a great report, brought the patient down to 1D, helped him get set up, and did a warm handoff. She also went above and beyond saying how very minimal family had been involved and explained that she had been sitting with him a lot as he was actively dying and she did not want him to be alone. The next day she again went above and beyond coming down to the unit to participate in the walk of honor after the veteran passed away. We want to recognize Nicole for her attention to detail and for going above and beyond to care for one of our veterans through the very difficult process of end of life.
