Our son N, is 5 and came into surgery today to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. He was nervous but said he was going to be brave. Nicole came to get him from the lobby and he was so scared. She saw his blanket and stuffed dinosaur and immediately began talking to him about them. She continued to explain the process, talk about what he likes, and made sure that while she did her very important job he wasn't scared and felt safe. We were so thankful to have her as his nurse today and know preparing children (or anyone) for surgery is probably really hard. But she was AMAZING!!! She even let him take his blanket and dinosaur back so he wouldn't be alone---we were SO thankful!!!!
