Nicole Bauer, RN
An eating disorder doesn't just rob you of your mental health, but it affects your physical health as well. Nurses on the eating disorder unit are so important for us to learn to live again. But Nicole isn't just a nurse. Nicole is always interacting with the residents and staff. She always goes above and beyond, making sure that everyone has what they need.
I felt like I could tell Nicole anything. She is such a good listener...and I tell a lot of stories! People are drawn to her for her bright personality and contagious laughter. She is a comfortable presence. I take a while to warm up to people, but she always made it easy to be transparent and be myself. Nicole was vital to my recovery.
One of the hardest things I've ever done is go to treatment, but Nicole makes it easier by finding ways to smile and laugh through the hard days. Nicole took great care of me, and I will always wish her the best. I am so lucky to have been cared for by her.
