Nicole has exhibited compassion to patients and teammates with personal challenges by actively listening, offering available assistance and time to that individual.
Being a new clinic supervisor has its challenges, couple that with the addition of COVID-19, working remotely, daily changes in protocol, visitor restrictions, patient and teammate frustrations, a tornado threat, loss of power, the building shaking with teammates inside and you are seeing just a few of the obstacles that Nicole has had to navigate through in her first 6 months as clinic supervisor. When faced with an obstacle presented by a teammate she provided resources to aid in finding the solution, up to date information, and assisted with the transition to permit for the best outcome in a difficult situation. She has exhibited compassion to patients and teammates with personal challenges by actively listening, offering available assistance and time to that individual. When faced with an external environmental disaster she remained calm, followed protocol for teammate safety, and remained with teammates until everyone could safely leave the building.
A leader must be able to adapt to change, be flexible, support, and promote the organization's guidelines, advocate for teammates, have compassion, and the knowledge to navigate difficult situations. Nicole has exhibited these qualities and I believe with continued growth she will continue to excel in her role and mentor others.
