Professor Byers, since the first day of class, has always been an advocate for all of her students. She has shown each and every one of us that she cares more about us/our well-being more than just us passing her class. She provides us with support and has always advocated for us in the situations we have brought to her whether it be in the clinical or classroom setting. If we have questions that may not even pertain to her classroom she still makes sure we get those answers once she receives them from another staff member. I find that a lot of professors need to be more like her because just as much as we are going to be a nurse we are also students still that need compassion and support through very hard times while in school especially when we are struggling. I admire the amount of care and compassion she puts into her job and I hope one day to be that type of nurse.
