The end of a person’s life is an important time for friends and family members to feel cared for and supported. Nicole was able to provide that care and support to her patient and their family at such a vulnerable time. A patient was admitted at night to 1 South on comfort care after an extended time in the ER. Although the patient was only on the unit for less than 3 hours, Nicole could not have been kinder or more attentive to not only the patient but to the patient’s family as well. The family was glad that Nicole was there for their mom and them at the end of her journey, after a very long and difficult day in the ER. Nothing can prepare someone for losing their mom and Nicole was there to provide the support the family needed. The family was very grateful Nicole was there that night. The family appreciates all that Nicole did and will not forget her kindness.
