I was scheduled to have my left knee replaced. One of the pre-surgical requirements was a dental check-up to ensure no bacteria was getting into my bloodstream. The COVID pandemic was raging, and the several dentists I called could not accommodate me. I reported this to my Pre-Surgical nurse, who informed me if I could not get the exam, the surgery would have to be rescheduled. I called the Ashtabula Clinic, and Miss Nicole Cleveland answered. I explained my problem. At this point, most people would have taken the attitude that this was out of their hands and nothing more could be done. But Miss Cleveland said, “Let me call you back.” Twenty minutes later, she called and said that LECOM School of Dentistry would be more than happy to accommodate me, and she gave me the number to call them. Needless to say, I got my exam, and my surgery all went well! Thank you!
