Nikki’s upbeat attitude and personality made it easier for me.
I came into the hospital on a Tuesday morning around 2:30 am. I met Nikki that Wednesday. By then I was probably one of the worst patients she had to deal with as my procedure was delayed a day and I really did not want to be there. Even though the staff prior to Nikki and also Nikki didn’t have information on when my gallbladder removal would be (keeping in mind my food intake was limited to liquids only while this was happening), Nikki’s upbeat attitude and personality made it easier for me. She knew just what to say to me to make me feel more comfortable and able to handle the news that I’d be in the hospital another day. She was also able to secure some food for me after the news of the delay in my surgery which helped my mood a lot!
Having 2 members of my family in the medical profession I have a better understanding of the challenges the nursing profession is facing and Nikki seems to be meeting these challenges head-on. Nikki is an outstanding member of your nursing staff.
