My father was hospitalized in June. He received the quality health care that your facility is committed to providing and it was given with the utmost compassion.  Ms. Drape is going to be an outstanding nurse. She has the "special touch" that can be felt when she walks into the room. She would periodically return to see if we were okay or ask if we needed anything. Some people are in jobs for financial security but then there is that group who are ordained and gifted by God to be in a certain arena. She is definitely in that category. We wish her the best as she furthers her career. She is a definite asset. I had the pleasure to work with Nicole both in the classroom and clinical setting during her senior capstone semester. Nicole exemplifies the role of a compassionate and caring person. Her compassion to her patients is evident each day as she cares for both her patients and their families. According to the letter written by one of her patient's family members, Nicole is an advocate and builds trust and respect while making a connection with her patients and those important family members who surround them during this critical time in life. Nicole's preceptor and the unit manager, both commend Nicole during rounds on her competency, abilities, and skills as she provides exceptional care. During clinical rounding Nicole provided much detail about her patient, not just medically but personally. She gets to know them and their preferences as she provides the best care. Nicole will continue making a difference to those around her, especially her patients and family members, as she graduates and becomes a registered nurse. I am very proud of her hard work and growth this semester, specifically in her confidence and abilities to provide the best care.
