My 85yr old dad had a pacemaker put in. He was in the hospital for 4 days. I’m nominating Nicole for the DAISY award. My dad wanted northing more than to go home. She takes care of my mom and was really worried for her safety. Nicole took the time to get down to eye level with him, hold his hand, tell him that she totally understood his worry and frustration, and then preceded to explain to him what could happen to him (and my mom) if he went home as sick as he was. He listened to her. She also advocated for him as much as she could, spoke with another nurse, who was there for Nicole’s day off, and asked her to do the same. The amount of time she spent making sure he understood everything, and the patience and compassion she showed all of us make her so worthy of any reward you can give her. I absolutely love her, and she will always be my DAISY. Thanks for taking the time to reward good people.
