Amy Vanzo had an Inpatient come down to DOSC for a procedure and the patient was not bathed for a couple of days, smelled, teeth not brushed, hair not washed. After her shift was over, she wanted to go up to his room and bathe him. She recruited another nurse, Nicole Fajardo RN, to go with her. They got the patient up to a chair and bathed him, washed his hair, shaved his face, and changed his linens on his bed. They then put his cologne on and brushed his teeth. Lastly, they warmed up and set up his lunch tray. When they left the patient was smiling and looking forward to seeing them the next day for another procedure.
