Ms. Fontes could not have been more competent, comforting, and responsive to my needs. She treated me like I was her only patient. She answered all my questions - and was patient in her response to questions, and if she didn't have answers (e.g., no doc order yet or something), she'd get an answer back to me as soon as able. She would remember my question and remember in her busy night to ask doc and get back to me as soon as she was able. She always greeted me in such a warm manner; her affect and demeanor could not make a patient feel more cared for -- seriously. You can FEEL her empathy. It's hard to give you an example because EVERY interaction I had with her was such a pleasure. I really hope your hospital center realizes what a gem of a nurse you have in Nicole in all ways - nursing competency, professionalism, and bedside manner. Not once did she seem rushed or impatient. My sincere hope is that you will reward her in the highest possible manner.
