She is one of the greatest examples I’ve ever seen of a nurse with a servant heart.

Nicole might be easily overlooked for her true value. She demonstrates a positive attitude no matter the circumstances. She is not perfect, and she knows it, but she also does not allow herself to use that as an excuse for things that get missed or go incomplete. If something is bothering her, you would never know it. She is the epitome of grace under pressure.

Just like metal gets soft and moldable when it is heated up to undergo a change in its mold, so does this nurse. She never bristles at correction. She does not argue or try to suggest that compromises or sacrifices be made. She also does not offer excuses, nor does she try to defend her innocent mistakes or misguided actions. She does not complain. Not once. Not ever. And lastly, she does not shy away from hard work or additional work when the day requires it.

What she does is remarkable. She accepts criticism almost like she welcomes it. It’s as if she knows that the lessons she learns today will make her stronger and more prepared to face the challenges of tomorrow. She is not judgmental of others when they fall short. She remains strong and encouraging to staff and to patients in the face of adversity and unknowns. She always has a kind word for everyone. She does not display an ego of any kind to her peers or her patients.

She is one of the greatest examples I’ve ever seen of a nurse with a servant heart. She will step up and lead when the time calls for it, but make no mistake, she is 100% genuine in her delivery of care and compassion to every human being.

Likewise, do not mistake her humble nature for weakness, because the strength required to face the negativity found in everyday life, let alone a fast-paced healthcare setting where physical, mental, and emotional demands run high, is rare and priceless. And she appears to have it in deep spades!

Tulsa Rehab is lucky to have you.
