When we first needed a dressing change Nicole was our nurse. We were anxious to see the wound and make sure when mom went home we knew what was important. We learn from hands on so having Nicole willing to explain what was going on step by step, was a great relief for us. Nicole seemed excited to change mom's dressing, which was odd to us at first. When mom asked her she told her that she was excited about a clean wound and after she explained what would happen if the wound was not taken care of we also became excited at a new dressing. I can honestly say that she changed the way we look at wounds for the rest of our lives for the better.

Her smiling face was a comfort and a joy to see come around the curtain. We felt like we were her only patient even though we knew we were not. She made us change our mind about the word excited. After such a huge change in our life with this surgery it was nice to have a nurse care so much about our mom's health, it meant the world to us.
