Nicole is one of those people that when you meet her, she is such a bright light. Her bright light has SHINED over the last year and even more so in the last seven months as she took on the role of interim manager for CPCDU, MICU, and SICU, and let’s be honest, she helped team Rescue and VAT as well. There isn’t an event, extra shift, or timecard sign-off that isn’t recognized. She truly takes the time to make everyone feel heard, seen, and, most importantly, fed during those long shifts. Even bringing morning bagels when she knows night shift had a challenging night. When there is a concern brought to her, big or small, she takes the time to fully investigate and ensures team members that we will be able to do better in the future. There is something about the trust and mutual respect that she provides, and you can go to her about anything. The early mornings and late nights did not go unnoticed during her interim time. Her ability to build people up and be their biggest supporter is truly an inspiration.
