My son was admitted to ABMC through the ER where he was brought by ambulance. It was definitely the worst day of my life, to see my son unconscious and unlikely to survive. Throughout this horrific nightmare, Nicole was the face and voice of kindness and compassion. I must wonder if she was my son's guardian angel. She seemed to be there night and day watching over him with her patient and endless energy to address every question and concern. She checked with all the related medical staff when questions needed to be addressed by other medical professionals - always with kindness, enthusiasm, and compassion. My son was ultimately an organ and tissue donor. Nicole communicated the many details involved in the process. She made sure I was able to personalize the painful process for my son with his music and a collage of photos from his short life of 32 years. Nicole also chose to be present for the late-night organ retrieval. She was definitely my "go-to person" whom I know I could lean on for moral support. Nicole was also "full circle" when she joined my family for the flag-raising ceremony. God bless Nicole for her endless generosity, wisdom, and kindness. She is definitely an outstanding human being!
