Nicole Hastings, RN

Nicole is my new-hire preceptor. We were assigned a patient yesterday, that had experienced some major difficulties during her pregnancy and has a history of a prior C-section. When this patient came in, she expressed a sincere desire to have a vaginal delivery with the support of her boyfriend and doula. I saw Nicole exhibit extreme vigilance with our patient the entire shift. She constantly repositioned our patient, monitored her pain, accommodated her preferences, and intervened at even the slightest sign of changes.

Nicole provided so much hope, positive encouragement, and feasible interventions to make this delivery the "dream delivery" our patient desperately wanted.

At the end of our shift, the patient successfully delivered a healthy beautiful baby boy vaginally. Nicole is a true inspiration for the nurse I hope to someday become. She is deserving of so much recognition due to her dedication, genuine care, and pleasant attitude!
