Nikki cared for my family member the day they had a procedure. My family member is a highly anxious individual, and they spent several days in the hospital prior to this procedure waiting to see if it was necessary. The procedure was scheduled for the morning, but there were many delays which led to it not being done until 4:30 pm. To say this was difficult for us and my family member would be understatement.

My family member was stressed, scared, and very hungry. In every interaction with Nikki, she was kind calm and patient. When Nikki notified us of the delay right before the procedure was supposed to begin, she did such a good job reassuring my family member and making sure that they felt safe and confident in what would transpire in the afternoon. She was with my family member as they were prepared for surgery and was one of the nurses that brought them back to the room after.

Nikki was so calm reassuring and caring, which those were the things that my family member needed. At this point, it was after 6 pm, and I am sure Nikki had an extremely long day but never let any of that show. I know many health care workers are maxed out at this time and the extra care and attention she gave my family member even at the end of a long day is much appreciated.
