I am writing this letter to let you know of the extraordinary care I received during a 8-day stay at United Hospital. Your team at United was nothing short of amazing. During my stay, I was cared for by professionals who were compassionate, empathetic, and smart. I felt the nursing and physician team who tended to me were consistently excellent and genuinely concerned about my health, my recovery, and my overall well-being. However, there was one shining star among the team of truly excellent caregivers. Her name is Nicole Liskiewicz. She was absolutely amazing. Professional, compassionate, knowledgeable, calming, and real. If I was anxious or distressed, Nicole was reassuring. If I was in pain or concerned about a procedure or test that was about to happen, Nicole provided reassurance. She tended to me as if she was my mom, and yes, I know that sounds a little weird, coming from a 63-year-old woman, but I believe most of us want our mom when we are sick, scared, or in pain. Please extend meaningful recognition to Nicole and the other amazing staff on the med/surg floor.
