She made sure the balloons were his favorite color and even made him a shirt with our unit logo on it since he voiced wanting to represent GSU when he was discharged.
It is not uncommon for Nicole to go above and beyond for her long length of stay patients. We had a patient who was going to be in the hospital for Christmas. Nicole went out of her way to get this patient a mini Christmas tree and decorate it to help the patient feel in the Christmas spirit.
For another patient who turned 50 years old while admitted, Nicole went out of her way to order decorations, come in on her day off, and decorate his room. She made sure the balloons were his favorite color and even made him a shirt with our unit logo on it since he voiced wanting to represent GSU when he was discharged.
On a different occasion, Nicole came in at 4 in the morning just to help a patient get ready for her discharge to Vegas. She made sure this patient had enough briefs to get her there, along with other supplies.
Nicole has impacted so many patients' lives and patients never fail to express their gratitude for everything she has done for them. Thank you Nicole for everything you do.

Nicole is one of those nurses you want on your team. She consistently goes above and beyond for her patients, especially those who are with us for extended periods of time. We recently had a long-term patient who was hospitalized during for his 50th birthday. Nicole came in on her day off (4 AM!!) to help with a complex early morning discharge to Las Vegas. Nicole assisted with her dressing changes, getting the patient dressed and her belongings packed. Her help was instrumental in getting the patient discharged on time. She is part of the glue on our unit. She has impacted so many patients' and coworkers' lives. Her patients are always complimentary when speaking of her. Thank you for being you and for all you do!!

Nicole constantly goes out of her way for those around her. On one occasion Nicole stopped at the store before work, just so she could surprise her patient with cupcakes on her birthday. She recently got recognized by other nurses on our floor and one of our providers for coming in early on her day off to get a patient prepped for an early discharge to Vegas. She made sure her wound care was completed, the patient was fed, and all her belongings were collected before GMT arrived. Nicole also came in and helped decorate our unit for a hospital-wide competition during Christmas and Halloween. Because of Nicole’s creativity and hard work, our unit won "most creative" during the Halloween competition. Nicole takes pride in her role as a nurse and preceptor. We are all so lucky to have such a phenomenal nurse like Nicole.
