Nicole Malinowski, RN, BSN

I met Nicole recently when she was taking care of one of our burn patients who was in the PICU. This patient was critically ill and required an immense amount of care, including multiple bedside procedures. She calmly collaborated with the PICU team, the Burn Team, Nephrology, and the ECMO team. She expertly coordinated the care of this patient, partnering with the burn nursing staff for dressings or other concerns. Every time I came to the room to check on her, there were no less than three staff at the bedside trying to stabilize the patient. Despite all that was going on in the patient’s room, Nicole never stopped advocating for her patient and their family. Nicole took amazing care of our patient, and I am incredibly grateful that she was there to provide outstanding, compassionate care to both him and his family. I hope that Nicole knows how incredible she is!
