During the pandemic, my wife was in the ICU at Dublin Methodist Hospital being treated for Covid. She ended up passing away, but I cannot commend enough, our nurse, Nicole. She went above and beyond in caring for my wife, and in dealing with our family after she passed. I am a couple of years late with this nomination, but I happen to come across the advertisement for it, and I immediately remembered my wife’s nurse, and her name, from that very difficult and scary time in my life. I am still terribly sad from my loss, but it’s comforting to know that there are people like Nicole on our front lines, helping people like me and my wife every day. Thank you.
