I want to give a huge shout to Nicole at UCHealth Greeley Hospital in the ICU, who took the time to care for my mom as her mother. Who took the time to educate me and my sister. She took the time at the end of her shift to help me and my sister understand what my mom was going through. She heard our story and my mother’s journey with her career and MDS. She genuinely cared about everyone in the room. She asked us if we needed anything every time she was in there. Nicole gave me strength by just hearing us out, and I will be forever grateful to her. Nicole, you are an amazing individual and a phenomenal nurse. We need more Nicoles in the world. Kindness and taking a minute to get to know your patient and family members go a long way, so thank you. You are an angel who was put in our path for a reason, so thank you.
