Nicole has been nominated multiple times for the DAISY Award and it was for that reason, when we heard that DAISY now had a Nurse Leader award, that she was selected. Here are some of the wonderful things that were said about Nicole.
"Nicole is a great leader and a kind and caring nurse. She utilizes the nursing process in daily practice. She is considered by peers to be a role model in assessment, planning, interventions, and evaluation of patient care. She consistently has the ability to prioritize and adapt to the demands of any situation and does so with a positive attitude. Nicole works efficiently and finds time to do the "special extras" for patients and co-workers."
"Nicole has changed the dynamic of CIU. Nicole consistently looks out for the interests of patients and families and always helps staff out whenever and wherever needed."
"Nicole is an advocate for patients and nurses. She is consistently aspiring to make CIU a better environment for patients and staff. Nicole makes herself available to us and to the needs of the unit and staff."
