Nicole was our bereavement Midwife who came to see my wife and me two days after the birth and death of our son M. She helped us in so many ways with the paperwork, medical appointments, and she did things we weren’t strong enough to do. She helped with the organisation of his funeral and even took time out to make sure everything went to plan and didn’t need to worry on the day. Her home visits helped us process what had happened, and she really listened to us and answered all our questions. She gave us practical advice to get us through each day. I’m not sure how we would have coped without her care and compassion. Her job is incredibly tough, but she made a real difference to our lives in the months after his death. We will never forget the support she gave us.
