I am honored to nominate Nicole Belcher for the DAISY Award for Nurse Educators. Since joining our faculty in 2021, Nicole has demonstrated unwavering dedication to student success and excellence in nursing education. She recently earned her Master of Science in Nursing, further enriching her teaching and leadership. Nicole serves as the lead instructor for the Fundamentals of Nursing course, where she plays a critical role in shaping the foundational skills and knowledge of our students. She also manages the nursing skills lab, ensuring that students have a hands-on, supportive environment in which to practice and grow. In addition, she teaches Maternal Newborn Nursing and Medical-Surgical Nursing with clarity, enthusiasm, and a strong connection to real-world nursing practice. Nicole is a compassionate educator who consistently goes above and beyond to support her students. Her approachable nature, clinical expertise, and commitment to high standards make her a trusted mentor and role model. She fosters critical thinking, professionalism, and a deep sense of compassion in every student she teaches. Nicole Belcher is an invaluable asset to our program, and her passion for nursing education inspires both students and colleagues. She truly exemplifies the values and spirit of the DAISY Award.
