Nicole Rogers was nominated by a peer who began the nomination by saying, "Nicole is always a caring and compassionate nurse but this night, in particular, she went above and beyond for her patient." The nomination goes on to tell the story of a patient who needed extra support and coaching to encourage her to remain at the hospital to get the care that she needed. Nicole realized how important it was for the patient to receive this "extra TLC" and asked to be assigned as her primary nurse. Nicole, you are an excellent example of the essence of Franciscan nursing: compassion and joyful service.
