April 2022 Honoree
Nicole Rosin, RN, APRN
After waking up with no voice, Nicole took steps to confirm that she did NOT have a COVID infection and was cleared by Employee Health to come to work. As a result of Nicole’s actions, she was able to prevent her workload from being reassigned to a cardiac interventionalist. Knowing that there was not another NP available to assist and a full day of procedures scheduled for the Cardiac Cath lab, Nicole’s actions and effort demonstrated high moral principle and ensured the procedural lab was not delayed and that patients were able to be transferred to APC in a timely fashion – despite her busy morning. That same day, Nicole demonstrated her commitment when another provider was unexpectedly unable to be present for their afternoon on-site cardiac clinic. By the end of the day, Nicole had seen 5 of the originally scheduled 8 patients who were attempted to be rescheduled. Nicole acted in the best interest of the patients and the section, her actions were Veteran-centric, and in line with the VA Mission.
Thank you, Nicole, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
