Nicole acted on her "nurse's intuition" and took action to have her patient evaluated, even though symptoms were not yet clear. She took the patient's wife's statements of "my husband just isn't right" very seriously. Based on the evaluation and tests ordered, the patient was transferred to ICU in a timely manner and will hopefully have a good outcome.
