I’m nominating Nicole for her superpower of being immediately calming and soothing to her patient within a minute of entering the room to introduce herself!
My dear friend underwent a second surgery two weeks after her initial surgery. Nicole took over my friend’s care a few hours postoperatively and began to work her “magic.” She is very professional as she assessed my friend and was very calming at the same time.
She decreased her stress with kind humor, and Nicole has a quality that makes you feel as if you have known her for years! The decrease in my friend’s tension was visible. Nicole, in my opinion, is someone who naturally possesses the nursing quality of holistic care and accurately prioritizes her patient’s needs.
She cared for my friend for two shifts and really soothed her concerns, which in turn calmed her. Nicole really made my friend’s second post-op, two-day stay in critical care a much better situation than she anticipated.
Nicole even came to check on my friend even after she had been transferred out of critical care. Talk about above & beyond! Nicole’s kind, professional, knowledgeable, and easy-going manner makes her a true asset to the nursing profession!
