Nicole Stark-Lovejoy, RN

During one of the most trying times of my life, this woman took me from despair to hilarity. Her wonderful sense of humor made a really crappy (pun intended) situation into one of hilarity while preserving my dignity. She cared for my needs professionally but humanely and appropriately. As my situation was potentially highly embarrassing, Nicole consistently dealt with my caustic humor very professionally. The pinnacle of her giftedness was when she used what I would describe as “guided imagery” of a sort while trying to start a new IV. I am an extremely difficult stick. My veins were ruined by chemotherapy in 1998. As she spoke and engaged me, all the pain faded into the background and eventually she had her vein. We made a connection that night. I got through this truly horrendous situation because of this supremely compassionate nurse. Thank you, Nicole! You Rock! And you are appreciated!
