Nicole Sung

Nicole has worked beyond the standard to support youth and families in vulnerable communities through nursing scholarship. She has been engaged in our JCN-supported Community-Driven Research Day grant, working with high school interns and the research team, including myself and researchers from La Salle. Her work on an independent literature review contributed to the development of a manuscript on the influences of wellbeing and engagement in underrepresented communities. She supported the voices of the high school interns in our meetings, always respectful and responsive. Her work is of high quality, but most importantly, her care for underrepresented communities is palpable and grounded in evidence and personal experience.
